This policy explains what Evo for Relationships collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It’s built around one promise: what you keep private stays private. If anything is unclear, email privacy@evocoaching.io.
Evo for Relationships is operated by EvolveWell, Inc., a Delaware corporation doing business as Evo, located at 1149 Amalfi Dr, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272, United States. EvolveWell, Inc. is the data controller for Evo for Relationships. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact privacy@evocoaching.io.
This is the heart of how Evo for Relationships works. Each person has a private space and a shared space:
We never move something from private to shared without you choosing to. When the AI draws on your private context, it does so only to support you, never to reveal it to anyone else.
Account — your email address. Sign-in is by a one-time magic link, so there’s no password to store.
Your intake and reflections — your answers (each tagged private or shareable) and your messages with the AI.
What the app remembers — a memory of what matters to you, which you can view, edit, and clear.
Voice — when you dictate, your audio is sent to our speech-to-text provider to turn it into text; we don’t keep the audio. When the AI speaks back, we generate audio through our voice provider.
Shared-session data — during a live Together session, the messages, presence (“who’s here”), typing, and reactions you exchange.
Usage information — basic technical and error diagnostics so we can keep the app working and safe.
We use this information to provide Evo for Relationships, to keep it secure and safe, to support you, and to send you essential email (your sign-in link, invitations, and notifications). We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, our legal bases are performance of a contract (to deliver the service), legitimate interests (to secure, support, and improve it), consent (where we ask for it), and legal obligation.
Evo for Relationships is powered by AI, and it’s always upfront that it’s an AI. It’s designed to hold both people with honesty and not take sides. To be unambiguous: we do not use your conversations to train AI models — ours or any provider’s. Your inputs are sent to our AI providers only to generate the response you asked for, and under their API terms they aren’t used to train their models. AI can be wrong; it’s support, not a substitute for professional help.
Relationships are personal, and some of what you share may be sensitive. We treat it with care. Evo for Relationships is supportive coaching, not therapy or crisis care. It’s built to notice when things get heavy and slow down, and it won’t raise a concern about you in front of the other person. If you’re ever in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or a local crisis line.
We share information only with service providers that help us run the app, under agreements that limit how they may use it:
We keep this list current and require each provider to protect your data and not use it to train its models. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of people using the app.
When you invite someone into a shared space, they receive a one-tap magic link and get their own account and their own private space. You decide when to invite them, and the private/shared boundary applies to both of you. Please only invite someone who wants to take part.
The app is operated from, and stores data in, the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
You can view and edit what the app remembers, export your data, and delete it — from within the app or by emailing privacy@evocoaching.io. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your data-protection authority (in the EU/EEA, your national data-protection authority; in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office). We honor valid requests.
We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and database-level isolation between people and between private and shared spaces. We keep your information while your account is active; if you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 90 days, except where law requires us to keep certain records longer.
We use only what’s needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences (like your theme). We don’t use advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Evo for Relationships is for adults. It isn’t intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make a meaningful change, we’ll update the date above and let you know.
